I have ordered 1 foot cat5 and cat6 cables for my patch pannes to make things easier.

I do hope this helps. The cable standard specifies performance of up to 250 mhz compared to 100 mhz for cat 5 and cat 5e. But i do know you can order 12 inch 1 foot cables from a cable vendor provider. With utp you need to make sure the number of twists in the cable meet the specs.

The category 6 augmented cable standard or cat 6a was created to further improve the performance of cat 6 ethernet cables using cat 6a enables 10 gigabit ethernet data rates over a single cable run up to 328 feet.
